Table at Denver Pride

Volunteer with PFLAG Denver at Denver Pride

Join PFLAG Denver at Denver Pride on Sunday, June 28, and help us create a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, friends, and allies.

As a booth volunteer, you'll help greet visitors, share information about PFLAG Denver's programs and support groups, answer basic questions, and connect community members with resources. Whether you're a longtime volunteer or new to PFLAG, we'll provide guidance and support so you feel comfortable representing our organization.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, celebrate Pride, and help advance PFLAG Denver's mission of creating a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQIA+ people and those who love them.

What to Expect:

  • Welcome visitors to the PFLAG Denver booth

  • Share information about our support groups, scholarships, advocacy efforts, and volunteer opportunities

  • Help distribute materials and answer general questions

  • Connect with fellow volunteers and community members

  • Celebrate Pride in a fun, energetic, and supportive environment

Volunteer Commitment:
Specific shift times can be found within the Signup Genuis. Please sign up only if you are reasonably certain you can attend, as volunteer spots are limited and help us ensure full coverage throughout the day.

Safety Information:
Your safety is important to us. The City of Denver and the State of Colorado continue to take proactive measures to help ensure a safe, welcoming, and affirming environment for everyone attending Pride events.

Come spend the day with us and help show the thousands of people attending Denver Pride that families and allies play a vital role in supporting, affirming, and celebrating LGBTQIA+ loved ones.

We hope to see you there!

SOFFA Online - July Meeting

SOFFA Online: It's often said that when a loved one transitions, everyone around them transitions too. PFLAG Denver's SOFFA group acknowledges that sometimes those closest to a transgender, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming person may need assistance to better provide support. Regardless of where you are on your allyship journey, our peer-led groups provide brave space for you to adapt and develop expanded capacities of empathy and understanding. Through each other's stories, we gain perspective, we hold accountability, and we celebrate joys. We learn coping strategies that can foster personal growth and resilience so that we may better support our loved ones. The collective insights and shared strength found in SOFFA can help individuals navigate their difficulties with increased emotional support and a sense of community, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being and healing journey.

Living Our Legacy: Rising Together

Living Our Legacy: Rising Together

As we look ahead to one of the most meaningful moments of our year, I am honored to invite you to join us for our annual celebration, Living Our Legacy: Rising Together, taking place on May 31 at Champagne Tiger.

This evening is more than a gathering, it is a reflection of who we are, where we have been, and who we are becoming. Together, we will celebrate the enduring impact of PFLAG Denver while investing directly in the future of LGBTQ+ advocacy.

All proceeds from the evening support the next generation of advocates through our Scholarship Program. Since its revitalization in 2006, this program has remained a cornerstone of our mission, empowering emerging leaders as they carry forward the work of education, advocacy, and support.

This year, our Scholarship Committee has taken special care to honor the more than 45-year legacy of PFLAG Denver by memorializing some of the organization’s most influential leaders, individuals whose courage, compassion, and commitment built the foundation we stand on today. Their stories remind us that legacy is not something we inherit passively, it is something we actively choose to continue.

I encourage you to purchase your tickets, join us in celebration, and be part of this living legacy. I also invite you to explore the stories of the leaders who shaped PFLAG Denver and made this work possible.

Your presence matters. Your support matters. And together, we ensure that the next generation is not only empowered, but unstoppable.
