    SOFFA

A group for the significant others, family, friends, and active allies of trans, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming loved ones. It's often said that when a loved one transitions, everyone around them transitions too. PFLAG Denver's SOFFA group acknowledges that sometimes those closest to a transgender, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming person may need assistance to better provide support. Regardless of where you are on your allyship journey, our peer-led groups provide brave space for you to adapt and develop expanded capacities of empathy and understanding. The collective insights and shared strength found in SOFFA can help individuals navigate their difficulties with increased emotional support and a sense of community, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being and healing journey.

Registration, each month, is strongly encouraged to help our facilitators prepare the space for that month’s meeting. If you forget to register, that is OKAY, please come anyway, we’ll have a chair ready for you!

    SOS Online

SOS ONLINE is a welcoming and affirming support group created for individuals navigating the unique journey of having a partner, spouse, significant other, or co-parent who identifies as trans, nonbinary, gender nonconforming, or who has recently come out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. This group centers the lived experiences of those who may be exploring questions, challenges, and joys as they support their loved ones and adapt to changes in their relationships and identities.

Together, we create a safe, nonjudgmental space for open dialogue, mutual understanding, and sharing resources, whether you’re learning new ways to express love and care, addressing complex emotions, or simply seeking a supportive community of peers.

Registration, each month, is required to help our facilitators prepare the space for that month’s meeting and to send a link to your email for that month’s meeting.

    STAND (Dad's Group)

When a child comes out, their dads—biological dads, stepdads, granddads, chosen dads, and father figures—embark on their own journey of learning, growth, and support. STAND (Support Together, Affirm, Nurture, and Devoted) is a space created just for you—a welcoming and judgment-free group where you can connect with other dads navigating similar experiences.

Hosted by PFLAG Denver, STAND offers a brave and affirming space to ask questions, share experiences, and strengthen your relationship with your LGBTQIA2S+ child. Whether you’re new to this journey or have been advocating for years, this peer-led group will help you deepen your understanding and support.

Registration, each month, is strongly encouraged to help our facilitators prepare the space for that month’s meeting. If you forget to register, that is OKAY, please come anyway, we’ll have a chair ready for you!
